Roberto Ortiz 🇵🇷

Roberto Ortiz graduated as an Honor Graduate from the Jim Evans Umpire School in 2009. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from the University of Puerto Rico in Cayey. He worked in the minor leagues from 2009 until 2016 and made his Major League debut on May 14th, 2016, in a doubleheader between the Miami Marlins and the Washington Nationals.

Roberto worked the LBPRC for 3 seasons as well as the 2020 Caribbean Series in Mexico. In 2022 he was offered a permanent contract with MLB, becoming the first ever Puerto Rican-born umpire to achieve a permanent staff contract. In that first year he was selected to umpire the 2022 Wild Card Series between the Seattle Mariners and the Toronto Blue Jays, and in 2023 he worked the Division Series between the Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins.

Robert Medina 🇵🇷

Robert Medina holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication with Management, Sales & Marketing. He started umpiring at the age of 15 and holds the distinction of being the youngest professional umpire to come out of Puerto Rico. In 2004 he was awarded a full scholarship to the Jim Evans Professional MLB Umpire Academy, the same year he went pro.

Juan Garza 🇺🇸

Juan M. Garza is a collegiate umpire with over 20 years of experience. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and is a United States Army combat veteran. He has worked Division I collegiate baseball for over 15 years in various conferences across the United States, numerous state championships for the Tennessee Secondary School Association, and the 2017 NAIA Collegiate World Series.

Juan currently umpires at the Division I level in these conferences:

Rafael “Guare” Guzmán 🇵🇷

Rafael “Guare” Guzmán has an extensive umpire background in Puerto Rico and Colombia. He was a founding member of the Organización Colegio de Árbitros de Puerto Rico in 1985, where he serves as Vice President, and of the Organización Árbitros de Béisbol del Turabo, which he has led as President since its founding. In 2012 he was inducted into the Pabellón de la Fama del Deporte in Caguas, where he has served on the board since 2014.
